We plan to offer a Novitora CI/CD component for GitLab so pipelines can convert Markdown to PDF or optimize images automatically. That component depends on the Novitora API, which is not public yet, so there is nothing to add to .gitlab-ci.yml at this stage. Until then, the flow is manual: convert on Novitora, then commit or push the output. Novitora is free and needs no account. It supports documents (Markdown, DOCX, PDF), images (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP), spreadsheets, and 581 pairs in total, with files up to 100 MB each and up to 10 files per batch. Files are deleted within 2 hours. Ask on the contact page if you want the GitLab component and API when they ship.

Can I add Novitora to a GitLab pipeline today?
No. That needs the Novitora API and a CI/CD component, neither of which is public yet, so there is nothing to add to .gitlab-ci.yml right now.
How do I convert project files in the meantime?
Convert the file at Novitora in your browser, then commit the result to your GitLab project. This suits generating PDF docs or optimizing image assets before a merge.
Will self-managed GitLab be supported?
That is the plan once the API and component are available. We have not set a date. Tell us your setup on the contact page to help us prioritize.
What can I convert?
Novitora supports 581 conversion pairs, including Markdown, DOCX, and PDF documents plus PNG, JPG, SVG, and WebP images. Each file can be up to 100 MB.
