Novitora API (Coming Soon)
Novitora is a free web app you use in your browser. A REST API for file conversion is planned but not live yet. This page previews what the API will offer so you can plan ahead. There are no public endpoints, API keys, or SDKs today, so you will not find install commands here.
What Novitora is today
Novitora converts files in your browser. You open a converter, add a file, and download the result, with no account and no software to install. Everything on this site works this way right now.
There is no public API yet. There are no API keys, no dashboard, and no SDKs on npm or PyPI. To convert a file today, use the web app or the getting started guide.
What the API will offer
The planned API will expose the same conversions Novitora already runs, over plain REST. It is built for scripts and back-end jobs that need conversions without a person in the loop.
REST endpoints
A predictable REST interface over HTTPS for the same format pairs the web app supports.
Batch jobs
Submit several files in one request, following the same batch limits as the web app.
Simple requests
Send a file and a target format, then get a download link back. No query language to learn.
Completion callbacks
Planned callbacks so your service knows when a conversion finishes.
What is not available yet
To set expectations, none of the following exist today:
A public REST endpoint you can call.
API keys or an API dashboard.
Official SDKs on npm or PyPI.
Webhooks, a browser extension, or published Zapier, n8n, or WordPress integrations.
