AMF
AMF (Additive Manufacturing File Format) is an XML format for 3D printing standardized as ISO/ASTM 52915. Unlike STL it can describe colours, materials and several objects in one file, and it may be saved ZIP-compressed, but slicers have largely moved to 3MF.
PLY
PLY (Polygon File Format, also known as the Stanford Triangle Format) was created at Stanford University in the 1990s to store data from 3D scanners. Besides vertices and faces it can hold per-vertex colors, normals and other values in text or binary form, which makes it popular for 3D scans and point clouds.
