GitHub

A Novitora GitHub Action is planned but not published yet, so there is no Novitora step to add to a workflow file today. What works now: convert documentation and assets free at Novitora in your browser, then commit the results to your repository the usual way.

Overview

We plan to publish a Novitora GitHub Action so you can convert files as part of a build, for example turning Markdown into PDF or compressing images before they land in a repo. That Action is on the roadmap and not on the GitHub Marketplace yet. Until it ships, the flow is manual: convert on Novitora, then commit the output. Novitora is free and needs no account. It handles Markdown to PDF, DOCX to PDF, image conversions (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP), and 581 pairs in all, with files up to 100 MB each and up to 10 files per batch. Files are deleted within 2 hours. Want the GitHub Action when it is ready? Ask on the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Contact support.

Is there a Novitora GitHub Action yet?

Not yet. A Novitora Action is on the roadmap but not on the GitHub Marketplace, so you cannot add a Novitora step to a workflow file today.

How do I convert repo files right now?

Convert the file at Novitora in your browser, then commit the result to your repository. This works well for generating PDFs from Markdown or optimizing image assets.

Can I automate this in CI today?

Not through a Novitora Action or API, since neither is public yet. For now, conversions are a manual step. Automated CI support is planned once the API and Action land.

What files can I convert?

Novitora supports 581 conversion pairs, including Markdown to PDF, DOCX to PDF, and image formats like PNG, JPG, SVG, and WebP. Each file can be up to 100 MB.

How will I know when the GitHub Action launches?

Leave a note on the contact page and we will tell you when the Novitora GitHub Action is available.
