Bank Statement to Excel

Turn a PDF bank statement into a clean Excel or CSV spreadsheet in seconds. Every transaction is extracted exactly as printed and checked against the statement's own running balance, so the numbers are verified, never guessed.

From PDF to verified spreadsheet in three steps

  1. Upload your statement

Drop in a PDF statement downloaded from your bank. One file at a time, up to 100 MB. Nothing leaves your browser until you start the conversion.

  2. Pick Excel or CSV

Choose an .xlsx workbook or a plain .csv file. Excel keeps the formatting and adds a separate Verification sheet; CSV gives you raw rows ready for any tool.

  3. Download verified rows

Get every transaction with its date, description, amount and balance already reconciled. Import it straight into accounting software or your own model.

Numbers you can trust, not a best guess

Most PDF-to-Excel tools read what they can and hope it adds up. This one proves it does. Each row is extracted deterministically and reconciled against the balance the bank itself printed.

  • Running-balance reconciliation

After extraction, every transaction is replayed against the statement's own opening and closing balances. If a single row is off by a penny, the run stops instead of shipping a spreadsheet that looks right but isn't.

  • A built-in audit trail

The Excel export includes a second Verification worksheet showing the running total after each line and how it matches the printed balance. You can hand it to an accountant and prove where every figure came from.

  • Refuses rather than invents

There is no AI guessing missing digits. If the maths doesn't reconcile, the tool refuses and tells you why. A statement that can't be verified is never turned into numbers you might rely on.

Works with digital statements from any bank

If your bank lets you download a statement as a PDF, this tool can read it. We're honest about the one case we can't handle yet.

  • Digital PDF statements

Statements exported straight from online or mobile banking, where the text is selectable. Personal or business accounts, any bank, any currency, single or multi-page.

  • Scanned statements: not yet

A photo or scan of a paper statement is an image with no readable text, so it's politely rejected rather than half-read. OCR support for scans is on the roadmap.

Your statement stays yours

A bank statement is sensitive. It's handled with that in mind at every step and removed automatically the moment you're done.

  • Auto-deleted within 2 hours

Your uploaded PDF and the spreadsheet we produce are permanently deleted from our servers within two hours, whether or not you download the result.

  • No statement contents logged

We never write the contents of your statement, your transactions or your balances to any log. Only what's needed to run the conversion touches disk, briefly.

  • Never used for training

Your files are used to produce your spreadsheet and nothing else. They are never sold, shared, or fed into any model, ours or anyone else's.

Is my statement safe to upload?

Yes. Your PDF is sent over an encrypted connection, its contents are never written to our logs, and both the upload and the spreadsheet are automatically deleted within two hours. Your files are never used for training or shared with anyone.

Why did my statement fail to convert?

There are three common reasons. The PDF is a scan or photo with no selectable text; it's a summary or letter with no transaction table; or its transactions don't reconcile against the printed running balance. In each case we stop and tell you which one it was, rather than hand you numbers that could be wrong. Password-protected or corrupt PDFs are also rejected - remove the password and try again.

Do you use AI to read the numbers?

Deliberately not, for the numbers. Amounts, dates and balances are extracted with deterministic parsing, so the same statement always produces exactly the same output and no figure is ever invented. That is precisely why the result can be trusted. AI models are useful for many things, but guessing digits on a financial document isn't one of them.

What is the Verification worksheet in the Excel file?

It's an audit trail. Alongside your transactions, the .xlsx export contains a second sheet that recomputes the running balance line by line and shows it matching the balance your bank printed. It lets you, or your accountant, confirm the extraction is complete and correct at a glance.

Should I choose Excel or CSV?

Choose Excel (.xlsx) if you want formatted columns plus the Verification sheet, ready to open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Choose CSV (.csv) if you want plain rows to import into accounting software, a database, or your own script. Both contain the same reconciled transactions.

Does it work with statements from my bank?

If your bank lets you download a statement as a PDF with selectable text, yes. It works with personal and business accounts across banks and currencies, and with single or multi-page statements. Only scanned or photographed statements aren't supported yet.
