A conversion usually fails for one of a few reasons: the file is corrupted, password-protected, in an unsupported variant, or larger than the 100 MB limit. Check the file, then try again. Most failures clear after a re-upload, removing a password, or converting to a different format.
Common causes
- Corrupted file: open it locally to confirm it is not damaged
- Unsupported variant: some rare format variants are not supported
- Password-protected file: remove the password before converting
- Over the size limit: each file must be 100 MB or smaller
How to fix it
- Re-upload the file: a fresh upload often clears a temporary glitch
- Try another format: convert to an intermediate format first
- Check the file: open it in its native application
- Contact support: if it keeps failing, our team can help
