What to do when a conversion takes longer than expected.

Most conversions finish in seconds, but a few take longer. Speed depends mainly on file size, the type of conversion, and how busy the servers are. Large videos and complex documents need the most time. If a conversion drags, try a smaller file or convert one file at a time.
What affects speed
- File size: larger files take longer to process
- Conversion type: video and complex document jobs need more time
- Server load: busy periods can add a short delay
Rough conversion times
| File type | Small (under 10 MB) | Medium (10 to 100 MB) |
|---|---|---|
| Documents | 5 to 15s | 15 to 60s |
| Images | 2 to 10s | 10 to 30s |
| Video | 30s to 2min | 2 to 10min |
What to try
- Convert one file at a time instead of a full batch
- Compress large images before converting
- Try again during a quieter period
