AI-generated voice. Audio is synthesized and may not sound perfectly human.
Generated audio is free for personal and commercial use.
How it works
Type or paste up to 1,000 characters, or switch to the upload tab for a TXT, MD, PDF, DOCX or EPUB file.
Choose one of ten American and British voices and set the speaking rate between 0.5x and 1.5x.
Synthesize, preview it in the player, and download the MP3.
Why MP3 is the default
MP3 is the one audio format that plays everywhere without being asked twice: car stereos, podcast apps, old phones, presentation software, e-learning platforms and messaging apps all accept it. Choosing it here means the file you download is the file you can actually send, upload or play, with no conversion step in between. Type or paste your text, choose one of ten English voices, set the pace, and the MP3 lands in your downloads.
What you give up, and what you gain
MP3 is lossy, so a synthesized voice saved as MP3 is a little less pristine than the same take saved uncompressed. For speech this is almost impossible to hear, and the payoff is dramatic: an MP3 is roughly a tenth the size of the equivalent WAV, which is the difference between a narration you can email and one you cannot. Pick WAV instead only when the audio will be edited or processed further.

What people listen to
MP3 narration goes wherever audio is simply expected to work.
- Voicing over slide decks, explainers and training videos
- Turning articles and notes into something to listen to on a commute
- Recording prompts, greetings and announcements without a microphone
- Adding narration to e-learning modules and accessible versions of a page

Speech questions, answered
What people ask before generating an MP3. Still have questions? Contact support.
How much text can I convert at once?
Up to 1,000 characters when you type or paste directly. For anything longer, use the upload tab: a TXT, MD, PDF, DOCX or EPUB file up to 30 MB is read in full, to about 20,000 characters of extracted text.
Which voices are available?
Ten English voices in four groups, American female, American male, British female and British male, each previewable before you commit. The speaking rate is adjustable from 0.5x to 1.5x.
Can I use the MP3 in a video or a commercial project?
Yes. The file is yours to download and use, with no watermark and no attribution requirement, and there is no account or subscription in the way.
Should I choose MP3 or WAV?
MP3 for anything you will play, send or upload, because it is far smaller and universally supported. WAV when the audio is going into a video editor, a game engine or a phone system that expects uncompressed input.
