Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Contact support.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Face detection and blurring run entirely in your browser using an on-device AI model. Your photos never leave your device, and nothing is stored anywhere.

How does automatic face detection work?

The tool runs Google's open-source BlazeFace model locally via WebAssembly. When you add a photo, every detected face automatically gets an adjustable blur mask.

Can I keep some faces visible?

Yes. Every detected face has its own toggle. Click a face in the preview or use its switch to keep that person visible while the others stay blurred.

Which image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP. The blurred photo downloads in the same format as the original.

Can I blur faces in several photos at once?

Yes. Add up to 20 photos in one batch. Faces are detected in each one, and Download All saves every blurred photo in one go.

Will the blur look harsh at the edges?

No. While editing, masks show sharp edges so you can see exactly what is covered, but the downloaded photo uses soft, feathered edges for a natural look.
